Tyrrell's Fifth Generation
Classic Dry White
"I nearly did a backflip when I tasted this phenomenal white. Made from a complex blend of Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Traminer and Sauvignon Blanc, it's nothing short of sensational and is my white wine of the year."

Wild Oats, named in tribute to Bob Oatley’s tremendously successful series of maxi yachts, is a range of six wines sourced from the family’s own Mudgee vineyards and other selected sites across Australia
The classic Bordeaux-like blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot has found a home in most winemaking countries and within Australia. Perhaps it’s the delicious hybrid wine it creates where merlot’s plumpness perfectly rounds out cabernet’s great structure and length. Wild Oats Cabernet Merlot is a bright, vibrant style of red wine with lifted herbal and blackcurrant flavours. |
Wild Oats Chardonnay is crafted in a modern style - full bodied yet crisp, with lifted citrus and melon flavours. |
Pinot Grigio (meaning 'grey pinot' in Italian) is fast growing in popularity, something that would surprise many Europeans as it's been a big seller there for decades. The most popular style is light, lower in alcohol and generally easy to drink. Try this wine and you will see why. Wild Oats Pinot Grigio is made in the true ‘Pinot Grigio’ style; medium bodied, crisp and with a spicy aroma. |
It has taken Australians a seemingly long time to discover the delights of rosé however today it is one of the fastest growing bottled wine categories. Most experts argue that soft, dry and smooth is the ideal style (there’s a myriad of them available) and we’ve endeavoured to deliver just that. This rosé is light and relatively dry, and dangerously easy to drink. Wild Oats Rosé is soft round and slightly fruity with a subtle taste. Best served well chilled. |
Western Australia produces Australia's most popular examples of the 'classic dry white' style of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes blended together. Fresh, crisp and fruit driven, they have captured the minds of wine lovers, perhaps for no other reason than their suitability to our warm climate and light, vibrant cuisine. Wild Oats Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is bright and zesty with crisp tropical fruit and herbaceous flavours on a lighter palate. |
Shiraz has come a long way in this country. From the traditional earthy Burgundian styles of the Hunter through to the rich structured Hermitage styles of southern Australia. Recently we've discovered the delights of the Rhone Valley version (Cotes du Rhone) where a small portion of viognier, a white grape, is added to the blend. It produces a soft but delightfully lively wine that of all the styles perhaps suits our climate best. Wild Oats Shiraz Viognier delivers smooth generous shiraz blended with the fruity, spicy flavours of wine from the viognier grape. |
There are essentially two distinct styles of Tempranillo wines - Wild Oats is of the elegant, silky, fruit-driven mould rather than a turbo-charged full-bodied example. This wine is fuller-flavoured than a pinot noir and not as heavy as shiraz - it's silky smooth, with delicious cherry-spice fruits, and a bright, crunchy vitality. Enjoy slightly chilled with grilled rosemary lamb, garlicky olives or marinated mushrooms. |
