Tyrrell's Fifth Generation
Cabernet Shiraz
Vibrant plum red in colour; the nose is appealing with sweet berry fruit, and hints of earth and spice. Designed for its softness and ‘immediate drinkability’, the palate is quite full flavoured, with spicy peppery overtones from the Shiraz, and blackcurrant flavours from the Cabernet. Medium weight tannins balance the acid resulting in a smooth, pleasant finish.
An easy-drinking red wine which matches well with beef or roast lamb, whilst also suitable with poultry or game bird dishes.

There’s nothing like a chat with loved ones or friends, especially over a glass of Long Flat.
When Long Flat was started over forty years ago, there was one ideal, to build a reputation for consistent quality and individual character.
Each vintage since then they have searched for the best wines that Australia has to offer, this ideal remains the same today.
The Long Flat Cabernet Merlot is a blend that we have refined over forty vintages. The Long Flat Red has always had a strong following because of its "drinkability". The Cabernet contributes structure and ripe blackcurrant characters, which are complemented by the plum and berry characters of the Merlot. They create just the right balance of juicy flavour, depth of colour and fine grained tannins. |
Long Flat wine aim with the Long Flat Chardonnay is to produce a fruit driven style. There is some oak there - but it’s in the background - like salt and pepper on a good meal. Enjoy the melon and peach like aroma and refreshingly crisp flavour. |
The Long Flat Merlot is an easy drinking style making it a wine that everyone enjoys. This Merlot displays the aroma of dark berries and green olives. The palate is rich and soft, full of dark berry and chocolate characters. We believe this is a great example of what Merlot is like as a straight varietal. |
The Moscato style originated in the Asti region of northern Italy. the Moscato D’Asti wines are slightly fizzy with a lower alcohol than their sparkling cousins. The colour is pale with green tinges and there are very fine bubbles. The palate is fruity and fresh with a lovely crisp finish. |
The Long Flat Pinot Grigio makes us think of warm summer afternoons and gentle breezes. Pale yellow in colour, the bouquet is reminiscent of a fruit salad of tropical fruits, pears and green apple with a nice floral lift and some honey undertones. The crisp and lively palate displays apples and citrus fruit with a lingering pear skin finish |
The Long Flat Red Moscato, we love it chilled on the balcony with pork spare ribs straight off the BBQ. The Red Moscato is made from the Black Muscat grape variety. It has a refreshing fruity taste of new season grapes plucked from the fridge on a hot summer day. |
Long Flat Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is always an unwooded style - full of fresh fruit character and zippy flavour. The Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc are picked at a range of fruit maturities to give us balance in the final wine. Characters of green apples, citrus and tropical fruit dance on the palate. |
The Long Flat Shiraz always makes me want to put on a big Sunday roast. It's a lovely wine with great depth of flavour. Savour the spice and plum pudding like aromas that lead to luscious blackberry characters on the palate. |
The Long Flat Shiraz Viognier is a vibrant, soft and fruit driven wine. Vibrant red with pink hues, and a bouquet of lifted violets, orange blossom and honey undertones. An easy drinking, medium bodied wine with soft velvet tannins. The perfume fruit characters of the viognier linger on the palate whilst the shiraz adds structure and depth to the palate. |
