Houghton holds Western Australia's highest tally of awards on the National Wine Show circuit. Notably, it holds the most awards for cabernet sauvignon, the red variety for which Western Australia is most acclaimed.
Bright and vibrant with a pale straw and green tinge. Aromas of peach, almond meal, citrus pith, pear and musk. The palate is soft rich and approachable, displaying apricot nectar, peach, stewed pear, lemon zest and melon characters. The wine has a viscous oily texture and an opulent long creamy finish. Enjoy with Cajun chicken, lime and chilli chicken. |

Light and fresh, the full flavoured palate displays tropical fruit characters of passionfruit and pineapple combined with mouth filling pear, apple and lemon citrus with a long and lingering finish. Structured soft and lively the palate displays fresh plum, cherry and mulberry fruit, the savoury tannins combine with cinnamon and clove oak derived spice to give a long and lingering finish.
