Medium straw in colour with a fine continuous bead. The nose has lifted fruit characters with some slight 'toastiness'. This characteristic shows the benefits of blending both aged and young wines to give this consistent style. The palate is soft and full flavoured with a good 'mousse'.
An ideal aperitif and will compliment hors d’oeuvres, pate, eggs, vegetables, fish and smoked small goods.

The Houghton Sparkling Rosé is dark cherry pink in colour with rose petal and wild berry aroma on the nose. It has deeper than expected flavours, bold, slightly sweet on the palate balanced by crisp natural acid, with a reasonably dry finish. Enjoy this as an aperitif. |
